Checks / troubleshooting:
6. Check “Encoder: CR” in “Check3: Test” –
“Test5: Encoder” in the self-diagnosis
function.
• Mover Carriage to see if the values on the
panel increases/decreases as follows.
• CW direction: Increase
• CCW direction: Decrease
7. Check the connection of Cover sensor and
Maintenance Cover Sensor.
8. Carriage lock solenoid may be damaged.
(Check if “ON” is displayed when Carriage is
locked and “OFF” is displayed when
Carriage is moved in “Sen.1: CR Origin” in
the self-diagnosis function.)
9. Check the connection of HEATER RELAY
board.
10. HEATER RELAY board Assy may be
damaged.
11. MAIN board Assy may be damaged.

Recommended actions:
When NG:
a) Check the cable connection at the following
places.
• CR board Assy connector
b) Replace the following parts.
• CR encoder
• T fence
• CR motor Assy:
• CR_FFC
• CR board Assy
