Checks / troubleshooting:
6. Check “Encoder: CR” in “Check: Test” –
“Test: Encoder” in self-diagnosis
function.
• Mover Carriage to see if values on
panel increases/decreases as
follows.
• CW direction: Increase
• CCW direction: Decrease
7. Check connection of Cover sensor and
Maintenance Cover Sensor.
8. Carriage lock solenoid may be
damaged.
(Check if “ON” is displayed when
Carriage is locked and “OFF” is
displayed when Carriage is moved in
“Sen.: CR Origin” in self-diagnosis
function.)

Recommended actions:
When NG:
a) Check cable connection at following
places.
• CR board connector
b) Replace following parts.
• CR encoder
• T fence
• CR motor :
• CR_FFC
• CR board
