Checks / troubleshooting:
Check if T fence is dirty or twisted.
Check “Encoder: CR” in “Check: Test” –
“Test: Encoder” in self-diagnosis function.
Mover Carriage to see if values on panel
increases/decreases as follows.
CW direction: Increase
CCW direction: Decrease
Check connection of Cover sensor and
Maintenance Cover Sensor.
Carriage lock solenoid may be damaged.
(Check if “ON” is displayed when Carriage is
locked and “OFF” is displayed when Carriage
is moved in “Sen.: CR Origin” in self-
diagnosis function.)
MAIN board may be damaged.

Recommended actions:
When there is grease or dust on it: Wipe it
with a dry cloth.
When there is ink on it: Damp a cloth with mild
detergent and lightly wipe off ink.
When it is too dirty and adhered substance
cannot be removed: Replace T fence.
